HAVE YOU SEEN OUR PETSENSE KITTY SPONSORSHIP? We adopt special kitties from the Daphne Animal Shelter (a kill shelter), vet them and sponsor them in the BARC! PetSense Cat Program. As soon as our kitty gets adopted from the program, we get to save another! Check out PetSense in Foley for a great selection of juvenile and adult adoptable cats!

Saturday, May 11th. Race at Noon, Festival from 1-5. Some proceeds for BARC! (The Baldwin Bounty Humane Society). AWC team members will be there hosting the “Wheel of Fortune.” Win prizes by making donations to BARC! Captian Wild Bill from Deadlist Catch will be there taking pictures with you and your animals as well! Come join the fun.

BATHING FOR BARC! 2012

September 22, 2012 at the Dirty Hairy Dog Wash on Highway 98 in Daphne! We bathed around 30 dogs and hosted a BARC pet adoption as well. $1350 was raised between donations for baths, Wheel of Fortune and platinum level gift baskets. It was a great day and a success for raising money for BARC!

SUMMERDALE RESCUE @ Purple Hearted Puppies

We helped rescue 45 cats and over 60 dogs at the first night of the rescue. Nicole and Dr. Powe worked throughout the night treating affected animals. Animal Wellness Center was the only veterinary service to respond to the call for help. We are still collecting donations for the affected animals and we are donating services and as many products as we can to those animals in foster care. (Of course, we are not posting any pictures of this event, as it was a disheartening one.)

Bathing for BARC! 2010

We raised $1500 for Baldwin County Humane Society (BARC!) in the Spring of 2010. The dogs had a great time receiving their free baths and the parents had great time winning silent auctions and raffles – all to benefit the locla humane society!

Dr. Powe & Sonja Presley from BARC! after the television interview on Studio 10, a local TV show, talking about the importance of spaying/neutering your cats & the Spring Kitty Promotion that BARC! sponsors every year where you can get a voucher to spay/neuter your cat for ONLY $35!!!

4/30/11 – We raised another $1300 for BARC! This year we had participation from RAIN “Reaching Animals in Need” and the Girl Scount Troup 8420 as well as the staff of Animal Wellness Center of Fairhope & BARC! volunteers. The dogs, kids & the young at heart had lots of fun, and EVERYONE received a bag of freebies just for coming and donating!
